i always suspect that one who sends that kind of message is a fake profile and a spammer.  

i typically delete and block immediately!

As far as I know after years of using proboards they are pretty good at keeping out the scammers.

Seems there are plenty out there who are so crass. I had one man trying to meet-up with me for sex & I told him why I wouldn't. He went on to tell me how long it has been since he's has sex & kept asking me to meet him for that. It's not my job to fill that need just because it's been awhile for him having sex. I told him so.

Austin, I do feel safe here and I am not one to hold it in when I feel a threat. Thank you for the reassurance.

Let me tell you I so much enjoyed hearing the affirmation from you all, Clarity, April, frff and Austin. Just to show you how it doesn't matter how much education or breeding a person has, they can be in all manners of class.

The last one had retired Air Force. I gave him a google voice number with a block feature that works quite well. He calls me yesterday and starts to tell me about his education in Switzerland, being an Army brat and how he traveled could speak 3 languages. Well, there you go, ding ding ding. I feel a braggert here. THen it went onto how he likes his women in bed to perform. Could I send him a picture for his I phone??? Ah, that would be a negatory Ghost Rider.
I ended up saying how I would just like a guy that brushes his teeth and has some common sense. Google voice BLOCK, POF BLOCK.

April, Frff, Clarity and Austin, you be careful about revealing personal contact information. Look up your phone numbers on the internet and make sure you can't be traced to your home. I am changeing my cell phone number after 20 years, because it has my name attached to it on the internet.

Do not give out your last name, if you own property or have ever been in the court system, they can get your home address.

Frff, you always make me laugh. There was one guy that I told I was taking care of Cafe, at my home and the alarms went off in my head when he said he could come down, "Let him know when cafe was settled in the senior community."  He was always trying to direct the conversation to sexual acts. 

I told the this one,  that he didn't need me, he needed a hooker and I was sick of it. Hung up.

April, if you get to a part on Google Voice that asks for credit card info, you can skip that. It is only for people that might make international calls

That is where a burner cell comes in handy. All my life I have run into guys who want nothing more than a roll in the hay. And dont care what or who it provides it. I got into it with guys on DH that saw hookup and thought it stood for being a dog! Most of the time it comes from guys that dont get any cause even a whore would demand extra! Or they are married and their wife is too grossed out by them to do it anymore.
I never gave out my phone numbers or email. Want to talk, that is what the site is for. If you arent willing to chat a while on it, then dont waste my time.
I found my guy on craigs. After meeting the frogs ended up posting on strictly platonic. And after two years we decided that listing didnt count anymore. lol.
When I met a few guys, met them in daytime at McDs. Even took a girlfriend once. Dutch, casual meet in public fast food, no foul, nice to have met you, write me I'll write you...not!

That's horrible about the woman who went home & that man she was dating awhile had been waiting for her & him doing what he did to her. Things such as that go on, unfortunately.

Maybe dating sites used to be better than they are now. I'm sure there ARE men looking to do the normal dating kind of thing. But there are also plenty who seem to use the sites as a means to search for someone to quickly hookup with for sex.

I will only meet someone in the daytime or early evening. I won't meet later at night. And that's no matter where I meet a man from, even if not from online. Some DO try to meet later in the evening or late night.

For sure....like this scenario...hey guy..lets meet up and then we can go to..my car, my apartment, your place. And then we can meet my..pimp, boyfriend, girlfriend. Who will mug you, burglarize you and possibly beat you or kill you.
Even for selling stuff.. Meet off home. And in broad daylight in a very public place. The town near here even set up a spot in front of the cop shop with lighting and camera just for people to meet in.
I dont know if times are that much risky or if we just were dumber decades ago.

But park close to the building. Even with cameras, someone can do a snatch and grab and high jack your car or kidnap you before anyone notices. And getting your killer caught doesnt do a thing for your funeral.
I read the cop records and watch news and listen to a scanner. The idiots out there now amaze me. What are they thinking? They will get away with it? They shoplift, they stop and rob with no disguise and cameras everywhere. They get stopped for their 7th DUI or driving after revocation. And THEN in a car with busted light or no plate or they run a light. DUH!!! And the calls to ELEMENTARY school for some kid acting up or beating up another.
The bulk are people under 30. The lost gen. But, worse is when it is someone over 60! Geeze man...havent you learned ANYTHING by now?!!!
I wear a revolver side arm lots on my farm. Never know when you run into a varment. 2 OR 4 legged. And had to laugh yesterday. Dog barking fool head off. Walk down to bottoms and it is my new tenant with his dogs. And he is carrying a rifle. He said I have taught him..carry the .22 just in case. He is fitting in quite well here. lol.
